About the Artist

Randall Levensaler has spent the better part of his life traveling around the Western United States seeking out adventure in wild places. Along the way he has photographed the people and places that have come across his path. Randall is an avid climber, backcountry skier and mountain biker. He has photographed a wide array of assignments and fine art projects including, Rock Climbing in Yosemite, Trail Running in Colorado, Backcountry Skiing in the Sierra Nevada, and Sea Kayaking the Lofoten Islands of Norway. He currently calls Boulder, Colorado home after working in such places as Los Angeles, San Francisco and Yosemite. He would prefer to sleep under the stars than at home. He has spent countless weeks living out of his van traveling with his dog Rilke.

Randall graduated from Brooks Institute of Photography in 1994 and went on to assist commercial photographers honing his photographic skills before heading to Yosemite to work as a mountain guide. In 1995 he was honored as a finalist in The John Noel Memorial Award for Young Mountain Photographers by Summit Mountain Journal. Randall feels just as comfortable behind the lens as he does running up mountains or dangling from a rope a thousand of feet above the ground. Through his experiences he has learned how perform under the pressures of extreme outdoor conditions and problem solving photographic situations in an efficient, professional, manner. He has a gift for finding dramatic locations and spectacular natural lighting.

Randall Levensaler Photography offers a conceptually driven image campaign. Specializing in fine art nature, landscape and lifestyle imagery. Created with original style, brilliance, and a technical edge, as seen with such clients as...
